We guess that all caps is supposed to mean something is important?

He’s right. Why do we do it? You can make an argument that CAPS help draw a reader’s eyes in, but have you ever seen anything in a magazine, newspaper, website, etc. using all caps? We’re write our releases (hopefully) to get a journalists attention, so we should write in their style. Feel free to agree or dissent in the comments.
